I'm really looking forward to this weekend. We have another crazy hike set up and plan to do a lot of camping and relaxing afterwards. Updates to come!

Can you believe how fall-like it is feeling already? Up here in New Hampshire we are already having chilly nights, much shorter days, and the beginnings of fall colors. Get ready for some foliage pics!

Where the Heck Have you Been?

If you have been reading me for a while you know that sometimes I wander off. Not because I don't love this little blog and the ideas and motivation it instills in me, but because sometimes life pulls me away for other reasons.

I wandered off for a minute and I hope you all don't mind. I overextended myself on this little blog here for a bit. Made a few commitments I couldn't keep while I needed to handle the life stuff. I am truly sorry for anyone that needed something from me while I was gone.

Things are a little shaken up around these parts and this blog will have to shake too. More to come!

Seriously we just got more snow. This is getting insane. Our snowfall averages are currently exceeding what we typically see for a whole season. Now the weathermen are predicting an arctic cold front on its way in. They're expecting that we won't see above zero degrees for days and then of course more snow for the work week. Brrrrrrr.

You know what that means right? Time to get outside all weekend! We have to get some fun in before our buns freeze off....

I Only Write You When It Snows

These days I seem to only post when it snows out here... The only days I tend to have off are the ones that I physically can't drive into work for...Here is what we like to do in the snow..

Misty has a fondness for the snow. She doesn't love the cold, but she REALLY loves the snow. Biting it. Tasting it. Scrounging in it.




"Come on. I need to find that pesky mole," she says. "Whoa, it's windier than it looks."




"It has to be here somewhere"



"How does my hair look?"



"Snap. I'm going to have to shake this one out."



"I'm going to close my eyes and when I open them it is going to stop snowing."

Snowed In

Misty and I have been enjoying the snowed in life today. A little ol' Nor'Easter hit today and dumped a ton of the white stuff on us. Since I've been suffering through a winter cold- we haven't had much of a chance to play in it yet-but sometimes Misty can't wait...

Snow!

On our adventures this weekend we found snow in the nearby mountains. While Misty tends to shy away from extreme cold- she still really enjoyed the snow. She loves to bite it. Yup. She likes to bite at the snow as she runs around- little weirdo.

Misty Superstar

Oh yes, that's right. Misty has been making tracks on the blogs. She just hightailed it over to Ruff Wear's blog for Christmas. Her and Santa have been talking and I am pretty sure she'll be getting a new bone in her stocking this year...

PS are you freaked out how close Christmas is? We've had a stomach bug that knocked us back an extra week. I haven't even started with Christmas yet....Yikes!

Weekend

Can anybody say weekend? Weekend!!! We've been having a good cold snap in the Northeast for the past week. We went from balmy 40 degree temps to painstaking windy 20 degree temps. Sure we'll get much colder than that in the winters- but when it comes so suddenly it's such a shock. Not much snow in the southern spots, but the north country has quite a bit!

In the meantime, bring on the weekend!!

Turkey Time

We actually celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks early this year. So after our turkey, stuffing, and pie we had to do a few laps.

Dear Santa- Love Misty

Dear Santa:

I would really love some new kicks. You may recall that I have some nice Ruff Wear Jackets (below), but really they are SO three seasons ago. Plus, you got me the wrong size and I practically swim in the softshell.

I know some dogs think it is redic that I wear a jacket, but they don't shiver and shake when temps hit the single digits. So please get me this jacket in size medium please. Kisses.

Plus, I like tops of mountains. Tops of mountains are slippery in the winter even for dogs with all four legs. I want to try these crazy boots- even though I'm not sure I like how tall they look.
